Sacrifice, Hope, and Courage Remain Alive and Inspiring in Iranian Wrestling
Tehran – Dr. Yaqoub Soleimani, Deputy of Cultural and Educational Affairs at Iran’s Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, highlighted the enduring spirit of sacrifice, hope, and courage in Iranian wrestling during the unveiling of Barandaz, a book about legendary wrestler Gholamreza Takhti.
peaking at the ceremony, Dr. Soleimani emphasized that Iranian athletes convey messages of resistance, ethics, and humanity to the world, reflecting the path laid out by the country’s martyrs. He also stressed the importance of unity, faith, and perseverance in the face of external pressures, praising the role of sports and education in nurturing these values among youth.
The event featured the official book launch, a special multimedia presentation, and recognition of families of martyrs and veteran wrestlers. Barandaz was authored by Mansour Gholami and published by the Wrestling Federation and Golgasht Publishing.
